ABOUT THE AUTHOR

• Lauren Antonucci, MS, RDN, CSSD, CDE, CDN is certainly qualified to write a book on this topic. She earned a BS in psychobiology from Binghamton University, then was awarded a fellowship in nutritional biochemistry at UC Berkeley. She followed that with a Masters degree in clinical nutrition from New York University. She is a registered dietitian (RD), is certified by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) and certified by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators as a diabetes educator (CDE).

Lauren has been running, cycling, and swimming for as long as she can remember. She has completed 13 marathons (PR: 3 hrs 9 min) 3 Ironman Triathlons, and countless other running and triathlon races. She previously wrote a column for Triathlete magazine and New York Road Runners magazine. She is currently the owner and director of Nutrition Energy, where she creates individualized nutrition plans.
