This is a hand pump microfilter. As the name "Purifier" implies, this filter will also remove viruses, in addition to bacteria, protozoa, and sediment. Weight: 17.3 oz.

| How It Works:

The hollow fiber filter traps particles, making it more effective than UV or chemical treatments for turbid or muddy water. Will not remove chemicals, radioactive materials, or particles smaller than 0.2 microns. Do not use to filter seawater, or, chemically contaminated water, such as water from mines or near large agricultural operations.
